Anthony Ryle (a psychoanalytic PCP sympathizer) did some research on
construct change in social work students in the 70s. He used the dyad
grid, and I believe was basically looking at how trainee's construction
of the counselor-client relationship tended to parallel other significant
relationships (e.g., supervisor-trainee). I haven't read the actual
article, but he cited it some other writings (and used grid analyses
from it to illustrate more general points) and it may have some relevance to
what you're doing:
