Bob--Thanks for the very informative message re: Kelly and Beck. Personally,
I really respond to your point that Kelly and Beck differ substantially re:
their notions of "truth." Of course, when as I think about this, Ellis'
RET comes to mind. Would a constructivist indeed believe in such a thing
as an irrational belief? Larry Leitner recently told me that in a debate
with Ellis at a past conference he explained his point of view simply by
stating "I don't think I've ever encountered an irrational belief in therapy."
