Okay -- perhaps we can drop all use of capitals. I still have a hunch
that their use was intended to facilitate processing -- that stuff we do when
we push our eyes across a series of spatially arranged dots in order to come up
with a construction which we believe to have been the construction which
instigated the codialogist to to through all the trouble of presenting us with
that visual display.
Consider the Germans -- do they still insist on capitalizing all the
nouns -- proper and improper??? Why do they insist on giving all that power to
nouns????
