I am writing to ask if you would be willing to complete a questionnaire for me.
It would take about an hour.
I am doing a research degree at Birmingham University on adult faith. It is
looking at - how adults construct a faith/values system, the language/symbols
they use to express it and how it is utilised in lived experience.
I am trying to get at the theology (in its widest sense of 'that which gives
final meaning') that people actually do for themselves, (as opposed to that
which is taught, preached or publicly assumed) and how it works for them.
I hope to be able to develop some methods of helping people in different
educational settings to explore and learn from their and others' 'theologies'.
