My question has to do with some postmodern reading I have been doing. Several
writers fro Nietschke on (Derrida, Levinias, Heidegger, Lyotard) talk about
the difference between narrative and text. A narrative is seen as more static,
structured (_Chronos_ measures events and is a cultural given). Text or figure
is a point of contact, the time of pure becoming, inndependent of matter,
the time of intensity and problem, popetry (_Aion_ is the unlimited past and
future of incorporeals). The difference is between the pulsedd time of
formal and functional music (Chronos), and the nonpulsed time of a floating
music which has only speeds or differances of dynamic (Aion).
It seemsss to me this has some interesting and valuable applications to
status and change in psychotherapy. Is anyone aware of any use or
application of these ideas
in therapy?
