Dear all,
It does seem as if we might be back in contact. For others having the same
problem, such as Roelf Takens and Peter Caputi, it would seem that our
addresses are in two forms. From December they were not recognising that one
form of the address was equivalent to the other. In my case I write my
address as b.walker@uow.edu.au, but the machine was getting
Beverly_Walker@uow.edu.au. You need to contact the postmaster and get him to
change the address the list recognises.
Thank you for all those people who expressed their concern, and in the case of
David and the postmaster, tried valiantly to fix the problem.
there are several things I have wanted to say, only some of which now seem
relevant.
One is that I strongly support the German bid to host the international
conference as soon as possible. They seem to me to have all the requirements
that one wants for such a staging, including an experienced conference-running
team, a team rather than a one-person band, a group of postgraduate students
who will greatly benefit from such participation, a venue that many of us want
an excuse to visit etc.

I'd also like to endorse Bob Neimeyer comment about the need for an
international organization of at least some loose form. Why can't this go on
the agenda for the next international general meeting, with some suggested
composition?

And finally, one of the things that I have wanted to tell you about is the
