Beverly has already answered your question. However, I should like to add
something: I use to think about core constructs only when I spoke about
the construct about the self. That is: derived from a grid with aspects
of the self and personal others as elements and with sufficient elicited
constructs as to offer an image about what is relevant for that person.
Being a manager can have a lot of implications in my opinion worth to be
analysed. could be a symbolic way of subsuming a lot of personal core and
core-role features. Working in clinical research I am tepted to say that
sometimes the problem of my clients is the lack of hierarchy among their
constructs. Nonetheless they define themselves by core constructs, or
they will do not know that they exist, as Beverly put it.
The second idea: "core" refers probably to the psychological quality of the
construct, i.e to their psychological importance for the respective
person (continuity). "Superordinacy" looks at the relationships of the
respective construct inside the system, describes its importance for
the quality of construing but not necesarily defines its cruciality.
