Term used more in the physical health than the psychological health & well-being areas. Used by MAPI Trust who have a huge repository of COAs and information on those COAs.
Generally the term is used for measures which use the same ratings (if single item) and item (if multiple item) for everyone, i.e. for nomothetic measures. However, in principle the term embraces idiographic measures. In principle, particularly in the physical health world, it could include blood and other biological tests (X-rays, scans) but I am not sure if it is routinely considered to include those possible change/outcome measures.

- observer-reported outcome (ObsRO) measures and (ObsROMs, OROMs)
- performance outcome (PerfO) measures (PerfOMs, POMS)
