As we say in Chapter 1:
“We will use ECM to describe the process when OMs are completed within the
therapy, as in EM above, but in which the scores are given substantial weight
to steer the therapy using referential data from other therapies, often designating change within this therapy as ‘on track’ or ‘off track’. Some people use the
terms ‘routine outcome measurement/management/monitoring’ for this but we
prefer ‘ECM’ as a more precise term.”
