The overwhelming majority of “outcome” measurement uses nomothetic measures to the extent that we tend to assume that there can be no other way of measuring things. Given that change in therapies, and therapy change mechanisms are to a large extent unique to individuals (or to a client/therapist dyad, group, or family) there is probably much to be gained from complementing nomothetic measures with idiographic, or hybrid measures such as PSYCHLOPS.
