Adding Files to your List

You can have files which belong to your list.

How to add a file to your list

  1. Retrieve a new File template from Mailbase by sending the following command.
    send mailbase new-file-template
  2. When the template arrives, fill it carefully.

  3. When you have finished, send the template back to mailbase@mailbase.ac.uk

  4. The Mailbase program will send you a transaction report telling you that the file has been added or an error report telling you that you have done something wrong.

  5. Once you have successfully added a file to your list, it will immediately be available via email, ftp or the Web. If your list appears on the Web, you can see the file by going to the 'other files' section of your lists home page.

  6. Once you have added a file, you will want to notify your list members. Send a message telling them that you have added a file, and how they can retrieve this file.
