• How to add a file

We strongly recommend that all lists have an introduction file. This is a text file which will automatically be sent to all new users when they join your list.

Suggested contents are:

• A welcome to the list
• Detailed information about the scope and purpose of the list
• Notes on how to use Mailbase
• Some useful addresses

Here is an example introduction file which you can copy and amend to suit yourself.

Of course, you may prefer to write your own introduction file in a totally different style.
