Hi Caroline! I can only say that if you can avoid the "mail option", do! I
know from bitter experience how difficult it is to get questionnaires back
once they have left your hands. Shauughnessy and Zechmeister (1985) state
that a 30% return of postal surveys is average!

However, I am delighted to learn from your question. I am hoping to do a
study using the grid for a MPhil/PhD and was wondering how many participants
one needed to make a good study. From the generous responses, I think I am
beginning to get some idea.

I shall soon be bold enough to introduce myself and ask for advice.
