While I agree with much of what you say, and I value my as yet embryonic
rrelationship with Bill as a private correspondent I can't go along with this.
What David did took courage. He was never going to please anyone and what
he did he did after raising the issue earlier and soliciting repsonses, and
after due and proper warning. At least give him credit for that.
